SURFING THROUGH MY USUAL BLOGS, I CAME ACROSS PICTURES AND INFORMATION FOR FANTASIA BARRINO’S NEW SINGLE AND MUSIC VIDEO FOR ” BITTTERSWEET”. I WAS STUNNED TO SEE THAT SHE FILMS HER NEW VIDEO AT NYC’S EXCLUSIVE AND FAMOUS PERIOD CLUB, “THE BOX”. YES FOLKS!!! THAT IS EXACTLY WHERE I FILMED PART OF MY DEBUT SINGLE MUSIC VIDEO, ” AND THE CROWD GOES”!!! FANTASIA AND I HAVE PERFORMED ON THE SAME STAGE! HOW COOL IS THAT?!?! I NOW HAVE A CONNECTION TO A SET OF AMERICAN IDOL WINNERS! FANTASIA BARRINO (WHO WON IDOL) AND DIANA DEGARMO, WHO IS A CLOSE FRIEND OF MINE THROUGH THE BWAY THEATER CIRCUIT.

The video was shot on location at The Box in New York City and was directed by Lenny Bass. It features Fantasia in a backstage dressing room reflecting over a bittersweet love affair as she prepares to perform in front of an awaiting audience.

Bittersweet is the official first single from Fantasia’s third studio album Back to Me. The album will be released July 27 on J Records. Back to Me will be available for pre-order on June 22 at iTunes and Amazon. The video will premiere on VEVO on June 25.

LAST WEEK I SAW MY VERY CLOSE FRIENDS SAHR NGAUJAH AND SAYCON SENGBLOH IN THE NEW BROADWAY HIT FELA!. I MET BROADWAY LEGEND LILLIAS WHITE WITH THEM AND CHILLED BACKSTAGE. THEY’RE LIKE FAMILY TO ME..IT WAS SOOO GREAT TO SEE THEM, BECAUSE IT HAD BEEN SOOO LONG. SAHR ,SAYCON AND I ACTUALLY GREW UP N THE SAME ACTING COMPANY TOGETHER BACK IN ATLANTA, GA. I KNOW I’VE MENTIONED IT BEFORE..BUT IF YOUR NYC YOU NEED TO GO SEE THE SHOW. IT IS RIVETING, STUNNING, MOVING.

I love New York City Theater because there is always sooo much variety! Today I’m going to see and support my new fave boys in The Fringe Festival show “The Boys Upstairs” directed by Jason Mitchell….A Gay sort of Sex in The City set in the heart of Hells Kitchen, the show has a fresh and exciting group of Boys who are talented and swexy. They came out to “Sensations” on Monday night and performed alongside me as Destinyless Child to “Bootylicious”! It was too much fun! We gave away 2 free tickets. Im excited to see the show today with my long time Broadway Buddy Titus Burgess!
